In 1999 I undertook the Housing Industry Association - National Kitchen & Bathroom Association Kitchen Design course in Sydney, NSW.
The kitchen design course focused on a wide variety of subjects pertinent to industry. These subjects included:

Industry Evolution: From HIA-NKBA to KBDi
While my original qualification was completed under the joint framework of the Housing Industry Association and the National Kitchen & Bathroom Association (HIA-NKBA) in 1999, the Australian kitchen industry has since evolved. The NKBA no longer operates within Australia.
Today, the Kitchen & Bathroom Designers Institute (KBDi) stands as Australia's peak national organisation for kitchen and bathroom design professionals. The KBDi now oversees the national certifications, professional development, and technical standards that evolved from the early foundations of my HIA training.
